About Anika
Hi, my name is Anika and I am currently an undergraduate student at University of Brighton studying Pharmacy. Studying A-level Maths, Biology and Chemistry has helped me transition into my Pharmacy course easily and I believe my broad knowledge on these subjects will also help other students excel in school. I have a younger brother that I have tutored previously, therefore I am able to tailor lessons depending on each individual students requirements.
During my time at Secondary school, I have participated in many Junior and Senior maths challenges, where I have obtained bronze and silver UKMT certificates. Participating in these challenges improved my critical thinking and problem-solving techniques, which I will encourage my students to use during our sessions.

As an experienced tutor, I provide lessons to students studying GCSEs and under. A typical length of lesson is an hour but I am able to provide 2 hour lessons also, where I can cover Maths, Biology or Chemistry. In our first session we will work through exam questions together or do a fun quiz that covers a range of topics, depending on what the student will prefer and I'll be making notes throughout on topics that you are feeling confident with and those that you are struggling with. In future sessions, we will then start to look at topics that the student feels weak in and work on those topics in depth until the student feels confident. These sessions will cover me explaining the topic and how to approach some exam style questions in different ways and I will then allow the student to try some themselves starting at an easy level and then progressing onto harder questions. I will also provide a few questions for the student to complete as homework, which we will then look at in the next lesson.
