About Lithushanan
Hi, I’m Lithushanan, a 4th-year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Southampton. I achieved an A* in Mathematics and an A in Further Mathematics at A-Level, as well as a Grade 9 in GCSE Maths, and I have continued to use maths extensively throughout my engineering degree.
I have previous experience helping and teaching students aged 10–15, which taught me how to explain difficult topics in a simple, clear and patient way. I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to make lessons engaging and tailored to their individual needs, whether that means building confidence, improving understanding of difficult topics, or preparing for exams.
I’m friendly, approachable and patient, and I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while they learn. My goal is not just to help students get the right answer, but to help them understand why and develop the confidence to solve problems independently.
