About Amy-Rose
I have been in formal education for around 19 years, and have experience of tutoring, as well as six years of childminding experience, working with children aged 3 to 15. This has given me experience in creating supportive and patient environments. I have a master’s degree in neuroscience, which has provided me with an in-depth understanding of biology, chemistry, English, and academic writing, as well as a passion for teaching others (particularly about the brain!). I offer lessons in English, Maths, Biology, and Chemistry for students ranging from primary school up to adult learners. My teaching style is student-centred, adapting everything to each individual’s learning style and preferences. The lesson length is typically one hour but can be flexible. I believe that learning should be engaging, tailored to the student, and, most importantly, enjoyable. I focus on building both understanding and confidence, ensuring students not only grasp the material but also develop critical thinking skills that will continue to benefit them in the future.
