About Justin

I am a born and bred academic and am very passionate about education, learning, and growth. In each chapter of my educational journey, I have worked with students of all ages to help them along their own journeys.

Throughout high school, college, and in my professional life, I have worked with my peers and colleagues on their written expression, ensuring they communicate their ideas and sentiments clearly and concisely. I have experience working with thesis and research papers, speeches, presentations, reports, and creative writing. I pay especially close attention to word choice and grammar; pose questions to inspire; and provide comments on how my fellow communicators may improve.

For Spanish instruction, I previously taught a weekly ESL course to fifteen adults of various levels. My teaching parter and I created curricula each week with worksheets and examples, and would encourage students to interact with each other and us as often as possible. We started from the beginning with the alphabet and worked our way up to basic English words and phrases for both personal and professional conversation.

I am a natural learner and enjoy sharing the knowledge I've gathered with others. I believe that everyone is on a unique learning journey, and should thus be approached uniquely. One's age does not deter you from being my student.

I begin by getting to know my students for who they are as people. Then, we get into the details and determine a baseline. That way, we can track improvement and assess areas of weakness as we progress together.

Lessons will vary depending on a student's level. For students who are enrolled in school and seeking supplementary assistance, we will use their materials and other online resources to aid instruction. There may be times when I assign homework in addition to students' work for their day-to-day schooling. For students seeking tutoring in which they do not already have materials, then I will develop assignments and homework.
