About Emma

With 7 years of experience playing piano, I specialize in modern songs and focus on building strong musical foundations. I offer a friendly and supportive teaching style tailored to your needs to help you progress at your own pace. I maintain a professional approach in every lesson, ensuring a structured yet enjoyable learning experience. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to improve your skills, I’m here to help you reach your musical goals with confidence. Let's start your piano journey today!

About the class

I believe in tailoring lessons to each student's learning style, ensuring a balance of technical skill development and creative expression. My methodology incorporates:

- Step-by-Step Learning: Breaking down complex concepts into manageable parts.

- Visual and Auditory Learning: Using both sight-reading and ear-training exercises to reinforce concepts.

Interactive Learning: I encourage students to play along with me, gradually introducing pieces that match their current level, ensuring they always feel challenged but not overwhelmed.

- Positive Reinforcement: I emphasize small successes, which build confidence and motivation.

Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson would include the following:

- Warm-up: A few minutes of basic finger exercises to build dexterity and hand coordination.

- Technique: We focus on scales, arpeggios, and sight-reading to improve fundamental skills.

- Piece Practice: I will assign a new piece or revisit an existing one, working on both the technical aspects (fingerings, dynamics) and musical expression (interpretation, phrasing).

- Ear Training: Simple exercises to develop listening skills, recognize intervals, and learn to play by ear.

- Review: We'll recap what was learned, address any challenges, and set goals for the next lesson.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my personalized approach. I don't follow a one-size-fits-all method but instead adapt my teaching based on each student's progress and interests.

My lessons are designed for: beginners

Whether you’ve never touched a piano before or have basic knowledge, I will meet you where you are and guide you through foundational skills.
