About Kai
I am a passionate piano tutor with 15 years of experience teaching students of all ages, from school children to college students and working professionals. I believe learning piano is not just about playing notes but about understanding music, building confidence, and expressing creativity.
My teaching approach focuses on patience, clear communication, and personalised instruction. I take time to understand each student’s goals, strengths, and challenges, and design a lesson plan that helps them progress step by step. I emphasise strong fundamentals such as finger technique, hand coordination, rhythm, and sight-reading before introducing advanced concepts.
Alongside piano, I teach music theory, ear training, and rhythm exercises to provide a complete musical education. I also use song-based practice and creative exercises to make lessons enjoyable and engaging. My strength is breaking down complex concepts into simple steps that students can easily understand.
I also focus on developing effective practice habits and discipline to ensure consistent progress. My goal is to create a positive, supportive, and motivating environment where students feel confident and inspired to achieve their musical potential.

Alongside piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This methodology strengthens technical proficiency, expressive skills, and musical understanding. My aim is to cultivate confident, creative, and lifelong musicians.
