About Charlie
As an actor and a director, I've worked and trained to learn and understand the things that make actors come alive on the stage and screen. I create a safe environment where humour and levity are used to allow actors to feel safe to fail, so they can try again and create something exciting and powerful. This completely comes from my training at Ecole Philippe Gaulier and the work I've done with actors and directors from that school.
The subjects I cover within the LAMDA framework are Acting (Solo or Duo), Public Speaking, Verse and Prose, Reading for Performance, and Shakespeare. In the 3 years of teaching LAMDA, over 50 of my students have achieved Distinctions in grades 3 to 8.

I teach acting through play. Acting at its core is a fun endeavor and it should be approached through serious and rigorous fun. While we move through your LAMDA exams, through the stages of your Drama School entrance, or an audition for stage or screen we will base all of the work around the sense of play.
I trained at the Oxford School of Drama and Ecole Philippe Gaulier and am a National Youth Theatre member.
My lessons are for all ages, but I mainly work with students of Secondary School age and above. In terms of LAMDA exams, this is from grade 3 upwards.
