About Sam

I am a fourth year medical student at Oxford. I graduated in 2023 with a prize-winning first-class degree in Medical Sciences, ranking fourth out of my cohort of more than 150 Oxford medical students. I have a strong academic background at GCSE and A Level having achieved 11 A*s at GCSE and four A*s at A Level. Outside of the classroom, I was President of Oxford MedSoc.

In my tutoring sessions, I adopt a personalized approach that centers around the unique needs and learning styles of each student. My teaching methodology combines clarity, patience, and a focus on conceptual understanding.

I employ diverse techniques, including interactive discussions, visual aids, and real-world examples, to make complex topics accessible. Lessons are tailored to enhance critical thinking and problem-solving skills, fostering a deeper grasp of the subject matter.

Typically, lessons run for an hour. This duration ensures a balance between covering essential content and providing ample time for questions and discussion. After an overview of the topic, we will discuss sample exam questions and practice answering them. This approach allows for students to both develop an excellent understanding of the topic and prepare to excel in their examinations.

As a fourth-year medical student at Oxford with a first-class degree in Medical Sciences, I bring not only a strong academic background but also a passion for teaching. My experience as President of Oxford MedSoc has honed my communication and mentoring skills.

My lessons are designed for students at the A Level, GCSE, and early undergraduate level. Regardless of age, my aim is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment that fosters academic growth and instills a lasting curiosity for the subject.
