About Shajid
I hold three A* grades at A level in physics, chemistry and mathematics, the very disciplines I teach, and I have practised as a tutor of GCSE and A level students since 2019. I am presently reading for a law degree, a course of study that demands rigour, precision and command of argument, and I bring those qualities to every lesson. As a self-employed professional, I answer for the standard of my own work. My teaching rests on a proprietary methodology of my own design, in which each student is assessed, understood and taught according to their individual needs. Approach: My teaching rests on a proprietary, data-informed methodology of my own design. Using statistical analysis and custom tools behind the scenes, I establish precisely what is holding each student back, and every lesson is built upon those findings. The objective is genuine mastery of the concepts, not merely improved marks. Where a student is willing, I also advise on the habits that support learning, including routine, timing and productivity. No two programmes are alike: each is calibrated to the student’s awareness, knowledge and aptitude. My aim is for every student to leave each lesson understanding more than when they arrived.
Lessons: One-to-one and online, in sessions of either 30 or 60 minutes. Thirty minutes suits focused topic work and brief check-ins, while sixty minutes allows for in-depth teaching and exam practice.
Experience: Tutoring GCSE and A level maths, physics and chemistry since 2019, with three A* grades at A level in physics, chemistry and mathematics. Currently reading for a law degree.
Who it’s for: GCSE and A level students, typically aged 14 to 18, whether they need to catch up, consolidate or aim for the highest grades.
