About Yolandi
I’m someone who genuinely loves Psychology and Anthropology, and that passion naturally shows up in the way I teach. I’ve always been fascinated by why people think, feel, and behave the way they do, and I enjoy helping students discover that same curiosity in themselves. Teaching feels meaningful to me because I get to support students as they make sense of big ideas, grow in confidence, and realize what they’re capable of. Whether it’s NCEA Psychology or first-year Anthropology, my goal is to make learning clear, engaging, and enjoyable.

My lessons are an hour long and focus on breaking complex ideas into simple, practical steps. I use a mix of clear explanations, real-life examples, and guided note-taking to help students build both understanding and confidence.
I hold a BA in Child and Family Psychology, Honours in Anthropology, and a PGCE. I’ve tutored first-year Anthropology at university level for two years and currently teach NCEA Level 2 and 3 Psychology. My lessons are ideal for Year 12–13 Psychology students and first-year Anthropology learners who want supportive, structured help to improve their understanding.
