Bonjour, I'm Yas! I teach French online, and Leaving Cert French is my speciality.

My lessons are friendly, structured and focused on results. I know how stressful 6th year can be, so I keep lessons clear and practical.

Every lesson includes speaking, because confidence in the oral comes from regular practice, not last-minute cramming.

Parents get a clear picture after the first lesson: where their child stands and the plan to get there.

About the class

Build confidence for the oral and the June paper, and get the points your CAO course needs, with one-to-one online French grinds for Leaving Cert students in 5th and 6th year, at Higher and Ordinary Level.

Leaving Cert French has four parts: the oral, the aural, reading comprehension and written expression. I help you pick up marks in all four, starting with whatever will raise your grade fastest.

What you get:
Oral preparation in every lesson. The oral is worth 25% at Higher Level, and it's one of the easiest parts to improve with practice. You'll practise the general conversation topics until you can answer naturally and confidently.
Mock orals before the exam. I mark them under the same four headings examiners use (communication, structures, pronunciation and vocabulary), so you know exactly what to improve.
Corrected written work. You get detailed feedback on opinion pieces and other written tasks, plus phrases and structures you can reuse on the day.
Aural and reading technique. You'll learn to find answers quickly, manage your time and stop losing easy marks.
A personal plan. After the first lesson you'll know your current level, your target grade and what we'll work on first.
