About Simon
I am a final year neuroscience PhD student at UCL with a strong academic background particularly in the Biology but also in the other related natural sciences (Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics).
In addition I have experience teaching in a wide range of environments, from working as a teaching assistant at a state school to engaging teenagers and young adults at research outreach events.
I have a great passion for the sciences and for passing on the love and wonder in understanding the world around us. I'm interested in taking on a very small number of students and hopefully passing on the same enthusiasm to them!

My teaching approach is to cover any core material required by the student for any relevant exams whilst also trying to understand the motivations and interests of individual students to not only provide them with the relevant knowledge to pass but also with the enthusiasm and passion to truly excel at their subject.
This will be conducted through series of structured conversations and exercises with the student with thematic progress building on previous knowledge as a firm, encouraging, base before filling and developing any small gaps that may exist.
