Hi! My background is in neuroscience, and I did A level chemistry, biology and psychology, and PE AS level. I have a first class degree and I am very comfortable teaching Biological psychology, as well as anything anatomy based, but I am confident with plant biology too! Whether we are tackling complex processes like cell respiration, understanding genetic inheritance, or navigating the intricacies of ecology, I break down technical scientific language into manageable, logical steps to ensure you feel confident rather than overwhelmed. My experience in medical publishing ensures that I am precise, well-organised, and attentive to the finer details of the curriculum.
Learning Dynamics
When I was in school and university, I found that I learnt best by engaging actively with the material. I often turned study sessions into games and utilised the kinaesthetic benefit of drawing out biological pathways by hand. In our sessions, we can implement these techniques together. I am happy to help you build a personalised study toolkit, including creating custom flashcards, whether you prefer digital apps for on-the-go review or traditional physical cards, I loved using both!
