About Gemma

I was fortunate enough to learn english from native speakers which has made a massive difference in the speed and accuracy in which I learned the language. That’s why I believe people looking to learn spanish would benefit from my teaching methods and experience. I love helping people achieve their goals and believe in hard and gradual work.

About the class

I teach GCSE level Spanish / Spanish for beginners. Not only have I spoken Spanish my entire life with everyone around me but I have studied the language to a native level for 14 years. Furthermore, I know the English language just as well due to studying it my entire life and living in the UK for multiple years. This is extremely helpful in teaching because I know exactly how to go around learning a new language. I know many tricks for translating and memorising that have helped me be fluent in both Spanish and English and I would love to share my skills with others. I am very patient and always willing to help. I’m based in central london and also teach online. I adapt to different lesson lengths and times in a week depending on what my students need.

Learning Spanish with a native teacher like Gemma certainly helped me. I would say most importantly when you are a beginner like I was it’s important to have an attentive tutor with effective ways of making you remember translations, etc. Gemma 100% achieved that and more, I am so grateful I chose her to tutor me I recently went to Spain and found my way around great thanks to what she taught me since not many people spoke English there.

She’s super attentive and sweet, really takes her time to make me understand what I need and answers all my questions. I seriously doubt anyone could have dealt with me better than she could!
