About Рушана
Hi!
My name is Rushana.
I'm fascinated by languages, by language itself.
I take delight in language patterns and their disruption, the structure of grammar, and all those funny little “I dunno, we just say it like this” things. And I just freaking love etymology. Sometimes the origin of a word is so amusing. And sometimes it reveals an unexpectedly beautiful metaphor that has long been forgotten.
Russian is my native language. I also speak Tatar, a Turkic language. I've studied quite a few ancient languages over the years — Ancient Greek, Latin, and Biblical Hebrew. Currently, I'm learning Latvian.

I think my lessons would be particularly suitable for those who would like to know how language works (i.e. for those of you who are not scared of grammar and syntax).
I majored in philosophy, so I'm also more than happy to discuss the more nuanced questions of the philosophy of language c:
Send me a message, and we can talk about your goals, what you're struggling with, and what you'd like to get out of our lessons.
