About Yuna
Hi! I’m Yuna, a native Korean speaker from Seoul and currently a fourth-year student at UBC in Vancouver. Having lived and studied in both Korea and Canada, I understand what it’s like to communicate across different languages and cultures.
I’m friendly, patient, and happy to help you learn Korean at your own pace. Beyond textbook Korean, I can help you understand how Korean is actually spoken in everyday life, including natural expressions, pronunciation, and cultural nuances.
Whether you’re learning Korean for travel, school, K-culture, or simply for fun, I’d love to help you feel more comfortable and confident using Korean!

My lessons are personalized based on your Korean level, interests, and goals. Whether you’re a complete beginner learning Hangul or already know Korean and want to improve your speaking, I’ll adjust each lesson to your needs.
I focus especially on practical, conversational Korean that you can actually use in everyday life. We can work on pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and natural expressions that may not always be taught in textbooks. If you’re interested in Korean culture, K-pop, K-dramas, or travelling to Korea, we can also incorporate those interests into our lessons!
My goal is to create a comfortable and friendly environment where you can practice speaking without being afraid of making mistakes. All levels are welcome, and we can decide together what you’d like to focus on.
