About Brenda
Not only is French my first language but I also studied in French and obtained a French diploma (Brevet) before moving to the UK where I carried on with my secondary studies. I have now helped a handful of students with varied ages reach their goal.

My approach is to first understand the level at which a tutee is at and where they are trying to be. Then I focus on the phonetics, sounds and writing of letters and general words. I then move on to grammar, verbs and vocabulary, then proceed to full sentences and conversation. One tip I like to give is to watch French series, movies or documentaries to better familiarise yourself with the words and accent.

Perfect! The strength is Brenda is teaching students to speak French rather than just focusing solely on the exam(s). I think this wholistic approach yields better results and is more effective long term.

Perfect! I could not recommend Brenda enough. I have been having classes with her for 5 months now and my french has improved so much. She has a great teaching technique that is fully bespoke to your goals and objectives. All my lessons have been so structured and informative and I have finally managed to fill the gaps that years of french lessons never did! She’s introducing our 6yo to French - not an easy task! - and we’re amazed by how quickly our daughter is picking it up. She actually wants to practice inbetween sessions and looks forward to her lessons every week.
Brenda is punctual (often arriving early and ready to go) and she offers well thought out and engaging lessons. She’s also very flexible and easygoing. Fitting in around family life and a 6yo’s needs.

I’ve been having French lessons with Brenda for almost two years, and I couldn’t recommend her enough!
