About Thierry
I am a native Dutch speaker with an international professional background in finance, data and business. Over the years I have lived and worked across several countries and in highly international environments, which has made me very comfortable communicating with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
I speak Dutch and English fluently, French to an advanced level and German to an intermediate level, so I understand both the advantages and frustrations of learning and using another language in real life.
I am patient, analytical and approachable, and I enjoy explaining things clearly without making lessons feel overly academic. I am particularly interested in helping adults and professionals gain the confidence to actually use Dutch, whether for work, travel, relationships, relocation or simply personal interest.

As a native Dutch speaker who has lived and worked internationally, I focus on helping students use Dutch naturally and confidently rather than simply memorising vocabulary and grammar rules.
Lessons can cover everyday conversation, pronunciation, grammar, reading and writing, or more professional and business-focused Dutch depending on your goals. I am particularly happy to work with adult learners, professionals, expats and people preparing to live, work or communicate in a Dutch-speaking environment.
A typical lesson is 60 minutes and combines conversation with structured explanation and exercises where useful. I adapt the pace and material to your current level, interests and preferred learning style.
I am fluent in English and also speak French and German, which can be helpful when explaining language differences or finding alternative ways to make Dutch grammar and vocabulary click.
