About Jakob
I am a Canadian performer/writer/arts educator, originally from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. I have trained at the Université de Moncton (Moncton, New Brunswick) and Randolph College for the Performing Arts (Toronto, Ontario). I recently completed my MA Musical Theatre (Performance) at Mountview Academy in London. As an educator, I have taught music grades Primary to 7 (Canadian equivalent to years 1 to 7 in the UK system). I have taught private voice lessons since September 2014. I have taught music in both English and French.

I use a mix of "classical" technique, Estill technique, and a mix of other techniques that I have been taught along the way. I tailor my approach to the student and their needs.
For students who can't read music, the length of a lesson is typically 1 hour in order to allow time to complete music theory lessons as well.
I have taught in the private sector and in the public sector. I've taught Primary school music (Canadian grade primary to 7, equivalent of year 1 to year 8). I have taught private lessons on and off since September 2014.
I typically teach students age 10 and up, including adults.
Tutoring available for GSCE, A-Levels and undergrad level students.
