Abby is a passionate Musical Theater Student at the University of Iowa, dedicated to nurturing the talents of young actors at all levels. She’s all about encouraging, supporting, and helping them grow their skills in a fun and engaging way! Abby blends techniques from Linklater Voice, Meisner, and Stanislavsky, tailoring her teaching approach to fit each student’s age and experience. She truly believes in collaborating with her students to create personalized lesson plans that cater to their unique needs and aspirations. Abby is excited to be a part of their journey in the performing arts!

- The first meeting will be a FREE 30-minute session to get to know the student and the student's goals - Before the lesson, Abby will read through the monologue/dialogue/script the student has selected and annotate it, research it, and compose a scene analysis for the student. - If the student doesn't have a piece already selected, Abby has many resources and scripts your student can choose from - Depending on the student's skill level, Abby may start with a short script analysis lesson - Lessons are $15/hr via video call or in-person

She uses her training in methods like Linklater, Grotowski, and Meisner to guide the process, but she explains everything in simple terms that make sense. For the youngest students (5 years to 7 years old), lessons are split between two days in 30-minute slots. Example: Monday from 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm and Wednesday from 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Full refunds are available for any cancellations.
