About Venus
Registered Music Therapist and multi-instrumentalist in Sydney. Classically trained pianist; self-taught handpan, erhu and guitar player. I began learning piano when I was 5. Obtained ATCL when I was 16, but my passion lies in adding classical flavor to pop songs. I enjoy teaching adults how to play pop songs on the piano and to express themselves through music.

Music is the best way to express yourself. I believe that everyone has a music child within, waiting to be awakened. No - you don't need to know many theories to play the piano well. And no - it's never too late to start learning piano. Supported piano lessons are instrument classes for individuals with additional needs. As a registered music therapist, I customise lessons to support your musical goals that best suit your circumstances and learning styles through different strategies and therapy approaches. Whether you are working towards composing, improvising or performing, you will learn the theories and techniques in a fun and enjoyable way. This is a safe space to explore your creativity and capability. This is for you if you are looking for a stress-free, flexible musical journey :) Note: supported music lessons can be funded by the NDIS under "Capacity building - increased community and civic participation". NDIS funding is not required to participate in supported music lessons though. :) Note: Piano lessons are available in English, Cantonese or Mandarin. Online lessons available.
