About Amirah
Hello! My name is Amirah Muhammad, and I am a rising senior at Delaware State University, where I am majoring in the music industry. After completing my undergraduate degree, I plan to pursue a master's degree in education. Music has been a significant part of my life, and I have been involved in concert choirs for as long as I can remember. In high school, I founded the ASI Ovations show choir, and I continue to work with them to this day. Currently, I am also working as a recording artist within my major at the university. I am also a member of the spring 2026 membership class of the Eta Iota chapter of Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority and the Approaching Storm Marching Band.

A lesson with me includes a short skills test to see where you are at, and then from there, creating a personal plan for you and your goals. As a tutor, I will give you many ways to measure your growth and success in your singing and music theory. Learning to read music enhances your skills as a performer, so we will focus on that first and foremost, then move on to vocals and musical styles. I am also a huge advocate for learning music history and genres, so we will explore musical figures and genres throughout history.
