About Solomon
I am a multidisciplinary artist and facilitator that helps harness creativity in everyone.
Inspired by Art Attack and Bob Ross, I specialise in teaching Fine Art to beginners & intermediate students, with workshop delivery, and community engagement.
With a background in Fine Arts & a 2D Animation Graduate, I've spent the last 15 + years developing visual communication in graphic design, and maintaining an active fine art practice in drawing, painting, and mixed media, using art as a tool for reflection, storytelling, and personal development.
This passion led me to host art workshops for children, adults, and corporate groups, creating inclusive spaces where participants can build confidence, develop practical skills, and engage with creativity in a meaningful way. My facilitation style focuses on accessibility, participation, and encouraging individuals at all levels to explore their ideas without judgement.
I have also built an online community from Tiktok, Instagram and Facebook, by providing art video content, improving fan artwork & building confidence and trust.

I teach students in workshops and online platforms Four Simple Stages that you can use to adapt these principles to anything you paint. This includes Portraits, landscapes and Still Life. The Four Steps are:
1. The Foundation Stage
This is where I teach students the importance of sketching the foundation using straight and rough lines. This helps improve your observational skills, and build up the image starting with simplifying and breaking down the object into shape-like drawing. I will also teach the importance of measuring every corner of the drawing so that angles are right, and even down to how you hold your pencil in this exercise will be important.
2. The Refinement Stage
This is where we tidy up the lines and add more curves and shadows. This part is also crucial because I teach the meaning of underlayer forms.
3. The Colour Blocking
Once the previous stages are done, I now show students how to paint layer by layer, using very little acrylic that is watered down, to start painting over the form. The shaded shadows help highlight where you are. Depending on the image, students are encouraged to go for 2-3 layers. This stage will start to bring out strong forms.
4. The Final Highlights
This is where the magic happens. I encourage students to focus back on stage 3 if need be, but this is where stronger volumes of acrylic and little water comes in. Highlights and shadows are more emphasised, and provides the cherry to the cake.
NOTE - there are small differences to consider in the process depending on what avenue you draw, but the principles taught above remain the same.

My husband and I had the pleasure to join one of Solomon’s workshops!!
It was so therapeutic and so wonderful. One thing I really loved was how he encouraged us throughout, he showed us all first how to do things and gave us tips, he is clearly very talented and was active with us if we required any help during our activity. One thing that stood out for us was how he adapted ideas based on some of our skill ranges!! Great discussion, lots of fun, recommend for couples and friends!!Solomon is awesome! He conducted a well-thought-out team-building exercise that helped me grow in my communication and teamwork skills. I was extremely encouraged to be guided in my growth and to learn how to work better with peers. He is also super kind and encouraging and makes learning moments feel extraordinary!
