About Tara

I am a Molecular and Cell Biology student at UC Berkeley with a strong background in general chemistry, math, and biology. With experience in both advanced coursework and tutoring, I understand how challenging these subjects can be and hope to help make them more approachable. My goal is to help students build confidence, develop problem-solving skills, and truly understand the material rather than just memorize formulas. I create a supportive and engaging learning environment, adapting my teaching style to each student’s needs. Whether you're looking to strengthen your foundation, prepare for exams, or excel in your coursework, I am here to guide you every step of the way.

I focus on building a strong conceptual foundation while making learning engaging and interactive. I break down difficult topics into simple, understandable parts and use examples to enhance learning. My lessons start with a quick review, followed by guided and independent problem-solving, ensuring students grasp the material with confidence. I personalize my approach based on each student’s learning style, offering clear explanations, study strategies, and mentorship. I tutor general chemistry and math (from middle school to calculus) for students looking to strengthen their understanding, prepare for exams, or improve problem-solving skills.
