About Mallory
Hello! My name is Mallory, and I’m passionate about mental health advocacy, harm reduction, and helping others find hope and healing. I serve as a Safe Streets Wichita Ambassador, a non-profit organization focused on harm reduction in mental health, wellness, and addiction recovery. I’ve also worked with HOPE Services and Suspenders4Hope, both of which are dedicated to suicide prevention and mental health outreach. These roles have given me a strong foundation in non-profit service and advocacy work. I'm proud to be a Girl Scout Gold Award recipient, the highest achievement in Girl Scouts—equivalent to the Boy Scout Eagle Scout rank. I'm also a lifetime member and active troop leader, continuing to mentor and support young girls in my community. For my Gold Award project, I created resource binders designed to give students the tools they need to succeed in school—especially during high-stress times like finals. Academically, I’m a college student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in general studies with a focus on social work, criminal justice, medical psychology, and a university honors minor in leadership. I graduated high school early, at age 17, and am proud of the path I’ve taken—one that hasn’t always been easy, but has made me stronger and more empathetic. I’ve also had the opportunity to tour psychiatric facilities, giving me an inside look at the mental health care system from both a personal and educational perspective. As someone who’s walked a difficult road myself, I’m committed to using my experiences to support others. Whether you're struggling with classes, personal issues, or just need someone to listen—I’m here to help however I can.
