About Arlo
I'm a current third-year medical student with a genuine track record of results. I received seven first-round undergraduate medical school offers (these were all the schools I applied to), including from Monash University, UNSW, the University of Adelaide, which means I've sat MMI and panel interview formats across multiple universities and understand what each school is actually looking for.
Before medical school, I scored in the 97th percentile for the UCAT and achieved an ATAR of 98.25, studying Physics, Chemistry, Maths Methods, Specialist Maths, English and Modern History.
I have three years of private tutoring experience working with students across these subjects as well as UCAT preparation and medical school interview coaching.
I take tutoring seriously. Every session is prepared in advance, students receive written notes or feedback afterward, and I'm responsive between sessions when questions come up. I work with a small number of students at a time. Not because I have to, but because that's the only way to do it properly.
I've been through the full medical school application process recently enough that everything I teach is current and specific. I know the common mistakes students make in the UCAT, I know what medical MMI panels are looking for, and I know what it actually takes to go from a strong ATAR to a medical school offer. I specialize in helping students who are serious about getting into medicine. My sessions are structured and focused - every lesson has a clear objective, and students receive written notes or feedback afterward. I don't just go through content; I teach the strategies that actually move scores, and I adapt to each student's learning style.
For senior subjects, sessions run 60–120 minutes and are tailored to where the student actually is - whether that's building foundations or pushing for a 40+ study score.
For medical school interviews, I run realistic MMI and panel mock sessions based on formats I've sat across six universities. I give direct, specific feedback rather than generic encouragement.
For UCAT tutoring, I work through VR, DM, and QR thoroughly, with a combination of strategies, approaches to timing, specific ways of approaching questions, and drilling EFFICIENT timed practice.
My lessons suit Year 11 and 12 students aiming for medicine, as well as gap year and university students preparing for the UCAT or upcoming medical school interviews. I keep my student load deliberately small so every student gets proper attention.
