About Nina

I am currently a medical student who achieved an A* in A-level Biology and a grade 9 at GCSE, as well as the Silver Award in the British Biology Olympiad.

Having grown up in Dubai and studied within the British curriculum, I understand the GCSE and A-level system from both a British and international school perspective. I have since gone on to study Medicine in Italy.

My goal is for students to come away from lessons having developed a genuine understanding and the ability to turn that knowledge into marks, whilst also creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.

About the class

I tutor GCSE and A-level Biology and aim to make these lessons engaging and effective in helping you reach your goals. My lessons are tailored to each student, whether you’re struggling with a particular topic, preparing for an exam, or aiming for the highest grades.

These lessons combine clear explanations of difficult concepts with targeted exam questions, and a strong focus on exam technique, helping you gain an understanding of exactly what examiners and mark schemes look for.

Lessons typically last one hour and will focus on the student’s particular needs, whilst also providing them with organisational tools to prepare for future exams and find their own study methods.

Nina taught biology to my daughter Molly for GCSEs. Molly went from dreading bio in school to actually looking forward to her weekly sessions with Nina. Nina was patient, clear and so well organised. She knows the syllabus, past papers and mark schemes backwards and also gave Molly so many constructive tips on note taking and study organisation. When Molly got a 9 in her results the first thing she wanted to do was message Nina. We are so delighted to have found Nina. What a blessing!

Nina was a wonderful Biology tutor for my son Roberto while he was preparing for his GCSEs. When he started working with her, Biology was a subject he did not connect with and he had very little motivation or interest in it.
Nina completely changed that. She has a great ability to explain concepts clearly, make the subject engaging and build confidence and curiosity. Roberto went on to achieve an 8 in his GCSE Biology, but for us the biggest impact is that he came away genuinely interested in the subject and has now chosen Biology for A Level.
We are truly grateful to Nina and would recommend her without hesitation.

Nina tutored our daughter ahead of her GCSEs in Year 10. She was extremely methodical and organised, and quickly understood how best to work with our daughter, who has ADHD and dyslexia.

What we appreciated most was that Nina didn’t just help her with the sciences; she also helped her develop strategies for studying, organising her workload and approaching exams in a much more structured way. She was patient, clear and very good at breaking things down into manageable steps.

Nina made a real difference to both our daughter’s understanding of the subjects and her confidence in managing her studies. We would highly recommend her.
