About Shahana
Hi! I'm a medical student at Western University with a nursing background and a passion for teaching. Over the years, I've worked with students of all ages through tutoring, mentoring, and teaching piano, helping them build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
I know that every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to their individual needs. I believe the best learning happens when students understand concepts rather than memorize them. My lessons are tailored to each student's goals and learning style, with a focus on building confidence through active learning, practice questions, and clear explanations.
A typical session begins by identifying areas of difficulty, followed by targeted instruction and guided practice. For MCAT students, I also provide study planning and test-taking strategies.
As a medical student with a nursing background, I bring both academic and clinical experience to my teaching. I strive to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing lasting study skills.
I tutor MCAT students, university students (biology, anatomy, physiology, introductory chemistry), as well as high school and middle school students in science, math, and English.
