As a Medical Sciences student at Western University, I’ve learned that success isn’t about memorizing more—it’s about understanding systems, patterns, and connections across disciplines. I would begin by explaining the conceptual understanding of a topic. I usually like to use many diagrams to really visualize and understand the topic. Then, I would go over multiple practice problems and assign some for the student to do. I also like to incorporate games into my lessons, such as Kahoot or Jeopardy, to make learning more fun!
