About Penina
Hello! My name is Penina, and I’m currently taking a gap year before entering medical school next year. I began teaching during my undergraduate years and have been tutoring consistently since then. Teaching has become something that I truly love and take great pride in. What I enjoy most is not only helping students grow and become more confident learners, but also learning from my students in the process. I believe education should be accessible and empowering, and I work hard to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and truly understanding the material. My sessions are structured, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s unique learning style. I always aim to make learning engaging, clear, and motivating. Outside of academics, I enjoy baking and ice skating, which I think helps me bring patience, creativity, and balance into my teaching style.

Hi! I’m Penina, and I’m a medical school admit with an undergraduate background in violin performance, chemistry, and chemical biology. I emphasize deep understanding over memorization and teach structured problem-solving strategies that work across subjects, especially for SAT and science-based courses. I also use techniques from my music training such as repetition, pattern recognition, and performance mindset—to help students stay focused and confident.
