About Sophie
Hi! My name is Sophie, and I’m a mechanical engineering student with a passion for robotics. I have years of experience mentoring students of all ages— from elementary school to college— helping them develop skills in robotics, engineering, and problem-solving. My journey in robotics began with the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) in high school, where I was a dedicated team member for three years. After graduating, I transitioned to VEX U in college, where I have been competing for nearly three years. Through these experiences, I have developed expertise in robot design strategy, CAD, and manufacturing, as well as a strong ability to teach and mentor others. I offer virtual tutoring sessions, making it easy for students to learn from anywhere! My lessons are designed to be interactive and hands-on, ensuring students gain practical knowledge in CAD, design strategy, troubleshooting, and competition preparation.
