About Jennis
Hi! I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedicine at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Biomedical engineering. I have a strong background in high school mathematics, including VCE Mathematical Methods and Specialist Maths, and have continued this passion into my university studies tackling calculus and linear algebra.
I specialise in VCE Specialist Mathematics and Mathematical Methods. I also tutor students from Year 1 through to Year 10. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into simple, logical steps so students feel empowered, not overwhelmed. My goal is to make maths less stressful and more rewarding by building strong foundations and problem-solving skills.

I’m a Pre-Med student at the University of Melbourne, aspiring to study a Bachelor of Medical Science and Medicine. I completed Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics in my Year 12 studies. I also take Mathematics courses at University.
Lesson structure:
- Start by reviewing past lesson topics with practice questions
- Teach a new concept and work through related practice questions
- Gradually cover all necessary material with practice questions after each concept
Having been through multiple maths tutoring programs myself, I understand what works and doesn’t work when helping students grasp mathematical concepts. I focus on not only teaching content but also on effective study techniques that support long-term improvement. I incorporate methods like spaced repetition, active recall using flashcards, and the Feynman technique, all of which help students retain and apply what they learn.
My aim is to make maths accessible and engaging, adapting each lesson to suit the student’s pace and learning style. I’m committed to ensuring my students feel confident and supported throughout their learning journey.
