About Nayana
I'm passionate about helping students reach their full potential and develop confidence in their abilities. Throughout my own education, I discovered that I genuinely enjoy explaining difficult concepts to others, and seeing someone finally understand a topic is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.
Having achieved top grades at both GCSE and A Level, I understand what it takes to succeed in exams. More importantly, I know how exam boards assess answers and what examiners are looking for. My strong familiarity with mark schemes means I can help students not only understand the content but also learn how to structure their answers to maximise marks - an approach that can make a real difference in exam performance.
I know that every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit the individual's needs, whether they're aiming to improve their confidence, catch up on challenging topics, or achieve the highest grades possible. I strive to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from their mistakes.
For me, tutoring is about more than just improving grades - it's about helping students become confident, independent learners. My goal is for every student to leave each lesson with a clearer understanding of the subject, greater confidence in their abilities, and the skills needed to succeed both in their exams and beyond.

My teaching approach is student-centred, interactive, and tailored to each learner's individual needs and learning style. I focus on building a strong understanding of core concepts before progressing to more advanced topics. Lessons combine clear explanations, practical examples, guided practice, and regular feedback to ensure students gain both confidence and competence. I encourage questions throughout the session and adapt my pace to suit each student's progress.
A typical lesson plan would include a brief review of previous material covered, a thorough introduction of new concepts through lesson-style explanations and worked examples, followed by a series of guided problems for us to work through with plenty of opportunities for questions.
In my past few years of tutoring experience, I have collated my own notes and resources for students to use, and am willing to produce further more detailed summary notes on specific requested topics if required.
