Roxy is a respected tutor in our community. She is highly recommended for her commitment and the quality of her lessons. An excellent choice to progress with confidence.
About Roxy
I have a Master of Science in Experimental Medicine, and an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry… so you could say I’m VERY passionate about STEM subjects. When it comes to math & science, I like to meet the student where they’re at and figure out why they are stuck. This works because it allows students to build and grow their knowledge, rather than memorize (which isn’t a sustainable approach when trying to improve math skills). I’ve tutored numerous students in maths & sciences and watched them improve tremendously!

I like to base my lessons on what students are learning in the classroom (usually by reviewing assigned homework or extra questions in a textbook/handout), as well as helping them prepare for what’s ahead that week.
This way, they are able to have a better grasp on the learning material and can engage more in the classroom.
I prefer to tutor students consistently on a weekly basis

Roxy and I have known each other for over two decades. She has always been passionate about learning and expanding her own knowledge on a multitude of topics, whether it be science related or climbing related (both big passions of hers). This passion is magnetic and sparks engagement in those around her, something that would be helpful as a tutor. Roxy is able to explain complex ideas so that they are more accessible, which is incredibly valuable when it comes to meeting different learning styles. She is a problem solver, and is dedicated to teaching others.
