About Nathan
I found a growing passion for calculus through my combined major in computer science and psychology at Uvic. I was lucky enough to have a wonderful teacher that made calculus enjoyable and understandable, making sure people were understanding at every step of the way while providing us with ample material to practice with. Now, I have the opportunity to give that gift back and help as many people as I can using those same techniques.

My teaching centres around fostering understanding, critical thinking, and complex problem-solving skills. This means that you enter each test with confidence in your abilities. I provide my own practice problems and note packages to ensure that the help you get is long-lasting and tangible.
Together, we will create a detailed plan of action based on what works best for you. We'll examine when your exams are and the teaching methods that work well for you. Through this, we can focus on your strengths and weaknesses in a comprehensive plan that ensures you feel confident going into each exam.
I don't just read answers off of a solution key like so many other tutors. I want you to know how each step works and how you can conceptualize what you're doing so you can recall it during a test. Because of this, teaching critical thinking and problem-solving are core components of our sessions.
