With several years of experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels, I specialize in helping learners understand not just how to play the talking drum, but how to "speak" through it—just as it has been used traditionally to communicate, celebrate, and inspire.
My lessons are interactive, culturally rich, and tailored to your personal learning goals. Whether you're a beginner just discovering the drum, a student studying African music, or an enthusiast eager to explore traditional rhythms, I’m here to guide you step by step.
Through patient instruction and rhythmic connection, you’ll learn:
Talking drum techniques and tone control
Traditional Yoruba rhythms and cultural context
How to play and interpret messages with the drum
Performance skills and confidence-building exercises
Join me, and let’s explore the language of the talking drum together—where every beat tells a story!
