About Ammar

I am a PhD Engineer, university professor, researcher, and multidisciplinary educator with more than 25 years of experience teaching physics, chemistry, mathematics, engineering, statistics, programming, and applied scientific subjects.

I have taught and supported school students, university students, graduate researchers, engineers, professionals, and adult learners. My experience ranges from strengthening essential scientific and mathematical foundations to teaching advanced university topics, engineering applications, laboratory analysis, mathematical modelling, and technical problem-solving.

My teaching philosophy is based on a clear principle: physics and chemistry should be understood as connected systems of ideas—not memorized as isolated formulas, reactions, and procedures.

In physics, I explain the meaning behind each law, show how equations arise from physical principles, and connect mathematical expressions with diagrams, experiments, and real systems.

In chemistry, I explain how atomic and molecular structures determine properties, why reactions occur, how chemical equations represent quantitative relationships, and how laboratory observations connect with theoretical models.

My expertise includes:

• Mechanics, energy, momentum, rotation, gravitation, oscillations, waves, and sound
• Thermodynamics, heat transfer, gases, electricity, magnetism, circuits, optics, and modern physics
• Atomic structure, periodicity, bonding, molecular geometry, stoichiometry, solutions, kinetics, and equilibrium
• Acids, bases, buffers, electrochemistry, organic chemistry, and applied chemistry
• Engineering physics, materials, energy systems, environmental applications, and scientific modelling
• Laboratory analysis, uncertainty, error evaluation, data interpretation, and scientific reporting
• IB Physics, IB Chemistry, AP Physics, AP Chemistry, school science, and university-level courses
• Excel, MATLAB, Python, simulations, graphing tools, molecular-visualization software, and scientific calculators

Lessons are personalized to your level, curriculum, mathematical background, and objectives. I can help you rebuild missing foundations, understand difficult theory, solve quantitative problems, complete assignments, prepare for examinations, interpret laboratory results, or study an advanced topic systematically.

My goal is to help you become more accurate, confident, and independent. You should leave each lesson understanding which scientific principles apply, why the method works, how to verify the result, and how to apply the same reasoning to new situations.

Physics and chemistry become much easier when theory, mathematics, diagrams, experiments, and real-world applications are connected clearly.

My lessons help you move beyond memorizing formulas, reactions, and procedures. You will learn how to identify the relevant scientific principles, translate a problem into an appropriate model, organize calculations logically, verify units and assumptions, and interpret the final result.

Each lesson is personalized to your current level, curriculum, textbook, assignment, laboratory work, examination, or university course. We begin by identifying your existing knowledge, conceptual difficulties, mathematical gaps, and recurring errors. We then establish a focused and practical learning plan.

The first free lesson combines a discussion of your background, objectives and tutoring needs, an initial assessment of your current knowledge, personalized planning and scheduling, and a short trial lesson so that we can determine the most effective way to work together.

A- SCIENTIFIC FOUNDATIONS AND PROBLEM-SOLVING
• Units, dimensions, significant figures, scientific notation, vectors, graphs, estimation, and dimensional analysis

• Software is used to visualize concepts, analyze data, and verify calculations—not to replace scientific understanding

M- COURSE AND EXAMINATION PREPARATION
• Middle-school and high-school physics and chemistry
• IB Physics and IB Chemistry at Standard and Higher Level
• AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, AP Physics C, and AP Chemistry
• College and university physics, general chemistry, introductory organic chemistry, and science courses for engineering, health sciences, and related programs

A typical lesson may include conceptual explanation, diagrams or molecular representations, mathematical derivation, worked examples, guided problem-solving, laboratory-data interpretation, error analysis, and validation of the final result.

You may bring your textbook, lecture notes, homework, laboratory report, past examination, or course syllabus. I can also prepare targeted explanations and exercises adapted to your level.

My objective is not merely to help you insert numbers into formulas, balance an equation, or complete one calculation. It is to help you understand the underlying physical and chemical principles, determine which method applies, verify the result, and transfer the same reasoning to unfamiliar problems.

Details

The first free lesson is a structured introductory and trial session. We will briefly introduce ourselves—including your academic or professional background and my relevant expertise—clarify your objectives, deadlines and tutoring needs, and assess your current knowledge through discussion and a short diagnostic activity. We will then establish a focused learning plan and schedule for future lessons. The remaining time will be used for a short trial lesson on a representative concept or problem, allowing you to experience my teaching approach before deciding whether to continue.
