My foundational expertise is anchored in advanced physical, organic, and organometallic chemistry. A defining highlight of my graduate career involved conducting research at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Gaithersburg, MD. There, I used ultrafast (femtosecond-timescale) time-resolved infrared spectrometer to probe the dynamics of organometallic photochromes undergoing linkage isomerization. This intense focus on molecular mechanics and electronic behavior shapes how I analyze complex chemical problems—and how I teach them—to this day.

With more than a decade of instructional experience, I specialize in translating highly abstract concepts into intuitive, manageable frameworks. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to education. Once you understand why electrons move the way they do, seemingly impossible problems suddenly become logical and approachable.
