About Maria
Certified yoga teacher by the Yoga Alliance with more than 7 years of experience. Teaching Yoga since 2018: Hatha, Vinyasa, Power Yoga, Ashtanga, and Pranayama - private lessons, retreats, and groups. Tailoring classes for people with specific needs such as backache, sensitive knees, broken shoulder, hernia, high blood pressure, neck and wrist injuries, arthritis, anxiety, dancers who seek to improve their strength, balance, and flexibility and others. Graduated total 550 hours of Yoga courses: Aerial Yoga, ULU Yoga, Eduard Polak, Thailand - 50 hr. Hatha, Vinyasa, and Ashtanga yoga teacher training in Triguna school, Rishikesh, India- 200 hr. Multistyle: Vinyasa Ashtanga and Yin, Shree Hari, Gokarn, India- 300 hr. In the past 18 years I have been attending retreats and weeks-long advanced workshops around the world, with leading teachers in The States (Kino), Italy (Ameriga), India, Mysore, and Thailand. Energetic and patient. Mindful about efficient and safe alignment for injury prevention. I can help you strengthen core, build upper body strength, improve flexibility and lose joint stiffness. As a past Engineer I love to teach structured and enjoyable classes, with science proven techniques that will help you build strength, flexibility, balance and calmness using your breath. While practicing interesting arm balances, inversions and other standing and seated poses in a unique sequence, we'll focus on efficient and correct alignment that will help you achieve a good posture and prevent injuries for the long run.
In this yoga class, besides strengthening the core and the whole body you'll learn (if you like) how to use breath to achieve a better focus, boost energy levels or reduce anxiety and enjoy a better sleep.

Perfect! Maria tailored my introduction to yoga fantastically, with careful consideration of my specific needs. I spend a LOT of time working on a computer (12-14 hours Mondays and Tuesdays, and I used to work 100 hours from a computer). I've tried switching between sitting, standing, kneeling, and laying down, but ultimately working that many hours means I'm still very static overall. As a result, I've become very weak and stiff. Maria actively listened to my unique situation and made enumerable adjustments to make sure I was comfortable while getting an important release of my hip flexor and building up strength in my lower back. I had tried following along videos in the past, but that's been difficult since I'm currently juggling several injuries (ankle: achilles tendinopathy & peroneal pendinopathy, shoulder: scapular dyskinesia, and hip: still waiting for my third sports medicine doctor's appointment). My hip has felt much better in the past 24 hours thanks to my yoga session with Maria. I was also able to meet with her MUCH more quickly than with my doctor. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the amazing first session Maria!! I am very much looking forward to our next yoga lesson.
