About Rana
I am currently a Year 13 A-level student; I study biology, chemistry, and Latin, and am currently working towards my AS-level in physics. My aim ultimately is to study medicine at university.
As someone who used to struggle with the sciences, it is incredibly fulfilling to see people reach their potential, and develop a love for the sciences instead of viewing it as being “too difficult”.

In sciences, from my own experiences, I used to find it difficult to engage with the content when the concepts were challenging and my teachers would not have the time to address each of our weaknesses in a subject. I know that I learn best in an interactive environment, with someone talking me through a concept in full detail and asking me questions along the way: this is the tailored approach that I can promise to any student who I tutor. I also aim to, after going through a concept, build up confidence by putting knowledge to the test by attempting the most difficult questions, and walking through it together step by step. I aim to accomplish a deep understanding of a concept, rather than just “knowing what you need to know” for an exam - this is key for the difficult “application questions”, and is what distinguishes students with the highest grades, from students achieving average ones or lower.
How long a lesson is can be up to you! You’re in charge of your education, and know what is best for you.
