About Sasha
I am a prospective medic currently in sixth form. I am taking Chemistry, Biology and Maths A-levels and have 10 high A*s at GCSE level. I want to be able to share the revision techniques that I used to get these grades to enable others to gain similar achievements as it truly is possible for everyone to do so.
When I was younger, I struggled in maths because I lacked the confidence to believe I could do well and my teacher was not particularly enthusiastic. As my teachers changed and I worked harder to succeed, I realised the importance of my mindset and that sometimes a different teacher's perspective could make a huge difference and I want to be able to ensure everyone has this opportunity too.

Teaching has to be adapted to each student, the material they want to cover and their preferred way of learning in order for it to be effective. In maths, for example, confidence and practice are the key to success, as well as, of course, good communication skills and the ability to break down concepts into smaller components.
With chemistry, the organic and inorganic topics differ greatly. Organic chemistry is focused on factual recall and understanding, whereas inorganic chemistry is much more mathematical and logic-based.
These sessions can either cover content that you may not be confident in or didn't fully grasp in class, or it can be specific questions from homework or past papers that you don't understand. If I know where the issue lies in advance, I will prepare the lesson beforehand and structure it so that you gain a firm understanding of the topic and go through sample questions step-by-step. This will enable you to feel confident and reassured in doing more questions independently and in the actual exam.
