About Akhil
I completed my schooling with an aggregate of 93.75 in the CBSE Board Exams. I went on to do my Bachelor's in History from Hindu College (Delhi University), where I secured First Division. I followed that with a Master's in Film Studies (Ambedkar University), where I was awarded the Academic Merit Scholarship for all the 4 semesters consecutively, and currently I am an M.Phil student in Cinema Studies (Jawahar Lal University).

I do not believe in rote learning, and yet I realise that a certain level of memorizing is necessary to secure good grades in high school. At the same time, memorizing is much more difficult when things don't make proper sense, and it will be my job to ensure history makes sense. Moreover, as a cinema studies student, I realise that our current generation is one where visual/graphic learning is much faster than literary learning. Therefore, I would like to use film clips, photographs etc as a crucial component to my teaching methodology.
