Taekwondo Classes near me With Fees in Kanpur

Korea is the birthplace of taekwondo, which blends ancient fighting arts with modern sport.

• Ancient roots: Traditional Korean fighting styles, like taekkyeon, inspired the high kicks of modern taekwondo.
• The name: Tae means foot, kwon means fist and do means way, so taekwondo is the way of foot and fist.
• Modern form: After 1955, Korean masters organised the art into one clear system with set belts and patterns.
• Global spread: Today it is practised in many countries and has been an Olympic medal sport since 2000.

With a personal coach, you learn the culture behind the kicks as well as the moves themselves.

A private taekwondo lesson in Kanpur costs approximately ₹620/hr.

Several factors influence the price:

• Your current level (beginner, intermediate or advanced).
• The instructor's expertise and competition record.
• The frequency of your sessions, whether one-off or regular.
• The training location and where the sessions take place.

Many coaches offer package discounts for booking multiple lessons.

Students train in a dojang, the Korean term for a taekwondo school or hall.

• Meaning: The term joins do, meaning way, with jang, meaning place.
• Etiquette: Students usually bow when entering or leaving, which shows respect for the space and the instructor.
• Layout: Expect a mat or foam floor, mirrors for checking technique and room for partner practice.
• Key titles: Students address their instructor as sabeom-nim, and senior students often guide the beginners.

With one-to-one lessons, you can practise the basics before you join a dojang class.
