Before tackling complex artwork, it helps to master some basic drawing skills.

• Observation means studying shapes, proportions, and light before you put pencil to paper.
• Line control lets you sketch smoothly instead of using shaky, hesitant marks.
• Shading uses light and dark tones to add depth, volume, and realism to a drawing.
• Proportion and perspective keep objects the right size and correctly placed in space.

A private tutor spots weak spots in these basics early and helps you fix them fast.

In Tumakuru, expect to pay about ₹255/hr for a drawing lesson.

This rate varies depending on several factors:

• Your skill level and learning goals
• The teacher's expertise and background
• The duration and frequency of lessons
• The teaching mode (in-person or video call)

Many tutors offer package discounts for booking multiple lessons.

The 70/30 rule is a popular guideline that trains your eye before it trains your hand.

• The ratio suggests spending around seventy percent of your time looking at the subject and only thirty percent looking at the paper.
• The purpose is to stop you from drawing what you assume instead of what you actually see.
• The application works especially well for life drawing, portraits, and still life studies.
• The benefit is fewer guessed lines and more accurate, confident results.

A drawing tutor can demonstrate this technique and correct your habits in real time.
