About Yongyi
35th generation Shaolin monk (Shi Heng Yong Yi) trained at the Shaolin Temple in China and ordination as a Theravada monk in Thailand (Santitammo). He has experience in martial arts, I-Ching, Chinese medicine, Tibetan bowl therapy, human design, meditation, and more. He holds a degree in technology in computing and robotics. He develops multidisciplinary projects in the areas of digital gaming, biohacking, and robots. For the last six years, he has traveled the world to explore new cultures and integrate ancient wisdom with modern technologies. During this time, he has been exposed to different schools of Buddhism, including Zen (Japan), Nichiren Shoshu (Japan), Theravada (Thailand), and Shaolin (China), as well as different styles of martial arts.

Classes can focus on one of eight styles: Shaolin, Meihua-Chuan, Bagua-Zhang, Wing-Chun, Praying Mantis, Tai-Chi, Qi-Gong, or Sanda. Each class follows a twelve-step progression with routines to improve: breathing, energy, resilience, speed, strength, flexibility, flow, expression,
control, reflexes, and attitude. The goal is to understand martial arts through the interpretation of the Book of Changes and integration with Chinese medicine. The focus is on developing discipline through motivation to improve quality of life.
