Over the years, I've observed a growing interest in contemporary pop/jazz music, motivating individuals to learn instruments for the joy of playing their favorite songs. In response, I've developed a user-friendly solfège system that facilitates quick mastery, allowing even inexperienced musicians to play their preferred tunes within weeks. The success of this system is evident in the achievements of my students, who excel in both classical and contemporary music exams. Our expertly crafted lessons cover the details, tips and tricks of Music theory, providing you with a solid foundation for musical understanding. Perfect for those aspiring to pursue a career in music or seeking, completing music theory exams or simply learning for leisure!!! But that's not all – our program goes beyond the conventional. Seamlessly integrated into these theory lessons is our innovative Music Listening and Ear Training Course. Elevate your musicality, master the art of listening with precision, and play any song by ear. This unique combination sets our program apart, offering you a holistic musical education that transforms your experience. Seems too good to be true? Come try it out and you'll know that it is worth it.

  • 1) When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?

I made the decision to pursue music seriously in 2006. That was the year I realized how deeply connected I felt to sound and expression. My primary instruments are the violin and piano. Both offered me very different ways to connect emotionally with music-the piano gave me structure and harmony, while the violin challenged me with its sensitivity and expressiveness. That balance drew me in and never let go.
  • 2) Is there a particular type music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

Yes-original soundtracks are my go-to, especially from video games. I could listen to Nobuo Uematsu's music endlessly. His compositions for the Final Fantasy series have a timeless emotional depth. No matter how many times I listen, I always discover something new in the layering and motifs. His work doesn't just entertain-it tells a story, which is why I can loop it without ever getting tired of it.
  • 3) Explain to us the most difficult or 'riveting' lesson you could personally give to one of your students.

One lesson I often use to challenge students is what I call a timed performance challenge. I'll first demonstrate a piece or a difficult technique, and then I ask them to replicate or reach a certain level of proficiency within a specific time limit. It's not just about playing the right notes-it's about composure, concentration, and pushing through pressure. Watching students rise to that occasion is always powerful, and sometimes even transformative for them.
  • 4) What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

I believe the violin is among the most complex instruments to learn. Even before you play your first note, there are so many things that need to be right-the bow must be rosined properly, the strings need to be in tune, and your posture has to be just so. For beginners, especially young students, tuning can be a major hurdle-often requiring a teacher's help. And the early sounds can be screechy or rough, which makes perseverance hard without a supportive environment. The violin demands patience, both from the player and their family.
  • 5) What are your keys to success?

I truly believe passion is the foundation of success. When you're passionate about something, the motivation to improve comes naturally. It doesn't feel like work-it feels like purpose. Whether it's practicing late into the night or refining a tiny detail in a piece, if you love what you're doing, those moments feel rewarding instead of draining. Passion fuels consistency, and consistency leads to real growth.
  • 6) Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

First would be Nobuo Uematsu. I'd love to sit down and ask how he first entered the world of music, how he connected with the gaming industry, and how he manages to create such emotionally resonant music. Second would be Chen Yufeng, the music director for Genshin Impact. His ability to blend traditional and modern elements is fascinating. I'd love to understand his creative process and share ideas on musical storytelling. Lastly, John Williams-his work in film has shaped the way entire generations experience stories. I'd want to know how he navigated such a legendary career and what choices shaped his path.
  • 7) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your musical journey, or your days at 'music school'.

One thing I've learned on my journey is that music isn't just about performance-it's about expression. Over the years, I've come to see myself as someone who writes life into music. Every composition I create or every interpretation I give carries a piece of my own story. In school and beyond, music became a way to process life-its highs, lows, and everything in between. It's more than a craft; it's a personal diary in sound.
  • 8) What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

What makes me unique is that I no longer seek the spotlight for myself-I've found greater fulfillment in watching my students shine. The moment I realized that I felt more joy when a student thanked me after a great performance than when I received applause myself, something shifted. I realized my role wasn't just to perform-it was to inspire and guide others to reach their own musical potential. That sense of shared achievement is what sets my journey apart.
