About Zaya
I have over 4 years of experience teaching French and hold a Bachelor of Education in French as a Second Language. I specialise in working with complete beginners, helping them take their first confident steps in the language. My teaching style is patient, approachable, and often sprinkled with humour. I use games, skits, flashcards, and storytelling to make learning grammar and vocabulary fun and memorable. Lessons are interactive, keeping students engaged while reinforcing essential skills. I focus on helping students gain confidence in everyday French communication. From simple greetings to practical conversations, my goal is for students to feel comfortable speaking in real situations. Vocabulary expansion, reading comprehension, and writing skills are all part of my lessons. I focus on creating a positive and encouraging environment where mistakes are part of learning. Listening exercises, role-playing, and practical dialogues help students apply what they learn immediately. I also guide students in pronunciation and intonation for clearer, more confident speech. By combining technique, practice, and creativity, I help students gain fluency, think in French, and communicate effectively. My goal is for every student to enjoy the language while achieving tangible progress.
