About Youngchae
I am a student at UTSA (University of Texas at San Antonio), and I study philology, which is the study of the history and context behind languages and how it connects to culture. My mother is a Korean language instructor for foreigners in Korea, so apart from having techniques learned from her, I love to analyze the language in relation to the history and developing culture, including k-pop, influences of Japan, and the division of North and South Korea.
