About Jo
If you’re looking for help with your essays or customized, holistic tutoring in English, then you’ve come to the right place. With over five years of experience in tutoring elementary through college, I bring dedication, flexibility, and strategy to every lesson. Whether you’re in English 101 or developing a graduate thesis, I can help.
I graduated Summa cum Laude from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in journalism. I’ve been a tutor since college, where I tutored American History and worked at LMU’s Writing Center, helping college students with writing assignments from remedial to graduate levels. Since graduating, I’ve worked at a group tutoring company in Los Angeles where I lead small classroom groups of students in custom lessons, updated weekly, to develop their skills.

If you book a session with me, I’ll use a holistic approach, creating custom materials to help you develop your writing skills along with transforming any essay.
