My name is Jonathan Hager, and I've been playing guitar for over 10 years — across acoustic, folk, and fingerstyle traditions. Hi, I'm Jonathan Hager. I've taught guitar for 6 years, and my focus is on helping players develop a warm, expressive sound — whether accompanying their own voice, playing fingerstyle instrumentals, or exploring acoustic folk traditions. I work with beginners discovering the instrument, singer-songwriters who want to strengthen their accompaniment, and players wanting to develop fingerpicking skills. We start with good posture, hand position, and basic chord shapes. I teach you to switch chords smoothly, develop a steady rhythm, and play with a relaxed, natural feel. For fingerstyle, we build alternating bass patterns, arpeggios, and simple arrangements. I also teach you to play while singing, arrange songs for solo guitar, and build confidence performing for others. My lessons are patient, creative, and always focused on the music you love.
